N.B. The phrase "in academic exile" is slightly different to "an exiled academic". It's more about off-grid thinking than about embitterment at the process of "my" exiling, etc. Hope that clarifies.

It does make sense, but that's also precisely why you are not exactly in exile academically if you are still engaging in these very nb matters ... surely and ideally you want to be employed working as an academic again and I'm sure that that is possible. I was hoping that you hadn't given up on that prospect. Even Graham McFarlane is posting on Twitter (Or rather X) that Christians can expect persecution for their faith and Ian Paul has been very outspoken on the issue you were fired over. I think that the culture wars on Twitter are real but its not the whole of reality.
