An Exciting Development...

A Conversation (and more) about Reformation (and more)

This is a quick note to, well, notify you all of a new project that’s been “brewing” over the last few months.

Sadly, it’s not the building of a cathedral. (Though, give it time…). With a couple of good friends, I’ve been recording episodes for a new That Good Fight podcast (because apparently the world does not have nearly enough podcasts already…).

It will be called That Good Fight: A Reformation for Gentlemen

We’ll be introducing the primary themes as we release these episodes over the coming weeks, the first of which should be out very soon as a general introduction. In a very broad nutshell, here’s what we’ll be talking about:

• Evangelicalism

• Reformation

• Christendom

• Patriotism

• Masculinity

We hope it will be something useful that will be not simply “another podcast” (though it will, of course, be that). We hope it will also provide a conversational hub and rallying point through which to connect with others who yearn to see the advance of the kingdom of God in these very strange times in the West, especially in this very strange but wonderful land of Great Britain (though, non-Britannians are certainly welcome too!).

The aim is not merely to talk for the sake of talking, but to help gather and galvanise fellow brothers in the fight who see the importance of re-finding what has been lost, and pioneering into what we believe ought to be reclaimed. We seek to be shamelessly Biblical at a time in which far too many in the Church have shrunk back before the shaming and mocking voices of the “post-Christian” world.

Despite the vast array of talk which bombards any given Christian in any given week, there are still a great many things which are not talked about anywhere nearly enough. We hope not only to talk about such things but to encourage brothers (and sisters) to do something about such things.

Many may feel as though too many Christians in our time have talked for far too long already. And yet, precisely because there is so much to do, there is a great deal still to talk about. Before us lies a maze of both well-trodden and unnavigated paths. Some roads are overgrown, lying forgotten and neglected. Other roads have not yet been imagined.

In our own small way, we hope to help more people to step out onto the roads that lie ahead, to offer what wisdom we have, and to encourage them on their way.

No doubt this may not be to everyone’s taste, but we hope to change a few tastebuds along the way too, for the glory of God, for the love of His Church, and for the transformation of the nations…not least this great little island of our own.

Be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might;
Defy the Devil and act like men;
Love the brotherhood;
Fear God;
Christ is Lord;
God save the king.
